Soundbaths & Events

WHAT IS A GONG/SOUND BATH?

A Gong/Sound Bath is simply a soundscape crafted using a variety of instruments such as gongs, singing bowls and chimes whilst you relax in a comfortable space, either lying down or seated.

The sounds slow down your brainwaves taking you into a more relaxed state which help to switch your nervous system out of the state of fight/flight/freeze, the effects of which can continue for 24 hours after the session has finished. Many report better sleep after a Gong/Sound Bath.

How Sound Healing Supports the Brain & Nervous System

Research from the Gateway Process (a declassified U.S. Army study based on work by the Monroe Institute) found that certain sound frequencies — like those used in gong baths and vibrational therapy — help the two sides of the brain work together in greater harmony, a process called hemispheric synchronisation.

This creates a state of improved communication between the left and right brain, helping to:
🔹 Calm the nervous system therefore improving sleep/lessening fatigue
🔹 Help to regulate emotional responses
🔹 Improve focus and mental clarity
🔹 Stimulate the vagus nerve therefore improved gut–brain connection

In short, sound therapy supports the body’s ability to shift from a state of chronic stress and survival mode into a state of rest, repair, and renewal — where balance can be regained mentally, physically and emotionally.

Gong/Sound Baths may be especially beneficial for anyone dealing with:

    Burnout or chronic stress

  • An illustration of a heart with a brain above it and a stomach below, surrounded by lines indicating energy or vibrations.

    Sensory overload or emotional dysregulation

  • A heart with a brain above it connected by lines, surrounded by radiating lines, symbolizing the connection between the mind and emotions.

    Fatigue or Brain Fog
